Cove is situated on the coast, just four miles from Aberdeen, signposted off the Harbour road (A956). There are spectacular rock formations which provide home for thousands of birds. The old part of Cove consists of a fishing village in which boats are moored and salmon nets are hung out to dry.

Cove is a popular residential location thanks to its village-like status, combined with its proximity to Altens and Tullos Industrial estates. There is a modern Health Centre and library and a vibrant community spirit.
