The town of Rosyth is situated on the Firth of Forth, three miles South of the centre of Dunfermline. The town was founded as a garden city and was built to form the coastal port of Dunfermline which began in 1909.
Rosyth is almost continuous with neighbouring Inverkeithing, separated only by the adjacent M90 motorway giving direct access to Edinburgh just a few miles away via the Forth road bridge. Rosyth railway station is on the Fife Circle Line.
