The Isle of Tiree is the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides. It is relatively small - about twelve miles long and three miles wide with a population of about 800.

CalMac operate a ferry to Scarinish and Tiree Airport is located at Crossapol. Flybe provide daily flights to Glasgow International and Hebridean Air Services fly to both Coll and Oban.

Roads on Tiree, in common with many other small islands, are nearly all single-track roads.
