South Queensferry is a picturesque town located on the Firth of Forth's southern bank, and is famous as the home of the Forth Rail Bridge. The town is approximately ten miles from the centre of Edinburgh, and five miles from Edinburgh airport.
On the fringe of Scotland's capital city, and only a fifteen minute drive from the city centre, South Queensferry is a popular destination with tourists and visitors to this area. Its population in the 2011 census was just over nine thousand, while South Queensferry hosts three primary schools and one secondary.
