Livingston was the fourth post-war New Town to be built in Scotland, and was officially designated in 1962. It is located approximately fifteen miles west of Edinburgh and thirty miles east of Glasgow, bordered by the West Lothian towns of Broxburn and Bathgate.
Livingston was built around a collection of small villages, but it's now the seventh largest town in Scotland with a population of approximately 50,000. It hosts a wealth of retailers in the Almondvale Shopping Centre and the adjacent Livingston Designer Outlet Centre, with plentiful leisure amenities on offer as well.
