West Kilbride is a village in North Ayrshire, on the Firth of Clyde coast looking across the water to Goat Fell and the Isle of Arran. West Kilbride and the adjoining villages of Seamill and Portencross are generally considered to be one cohesive conurbation, with a combined population of around 4,500 people.
West Kilbride is approximately ten miles west of Kilmarnock and 25 miles southwest of Glasgow. It stands along the A78 coastal road that extends between Greenock and Prestwick. West Kilbride Primary School serves the village as well as Seamill and Portencross.
