Property in Moffat

Named after the Scottish Gaelic term for "The Long Plain", Moffat is a former burgh and spa town in Dumfries and Galloway. Situated on the River Annan, it hosts a population of around 2,500. The town attracts many tourists all year round, as visitors and as walkers in the surrounding hills.

At a mere twenty feet wide, The Star Hotel was acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records as the narrowest hotel in the world. Moffat also won Britain In Bloom in 1996, though it's perhaps most famous as being home to the well-known Moffat toffee.
