Newmilns and Greenholm is a small burgh in East Ayrshire. It lies on the A71, around seven miles east of Kilmarnock and 25 miles southwest of Glasgow. Both are within commuting distance, while the A71 continues east to Edinburgh.

As its name suggests, the burgh exists in two parts - Newmilns lies to the north of the river, whilst Greenholm lies to the south. The larger town of Darvel is immediately east, and local residents share amenities.
