Dalmuir is an area on the western side of Clydebank in West Dunbartonshire. It is neighboured by the village of Old Kilpatrick, the Mountblow and Parkhall areas of Clydebank, and the town centre. Central Glasgow is situated eight miles east along the Clydeside Expressway.
Dalmuir hosts some unusual transport facilities. It has a five-platform railway station on the North Clyde Line, plus a unique drop lock on the Forth & Clyde Canal allowing boats to pass under Dumbarton Road. The Beardmore hospital, hotel and conference centre is also situated here.
