Larbert is a substantial town situated in the Falkirk council area. It stands above the River Carron in the Forth Valley two miles northwest of Falkirk, forming a continuous conurbation along the A9. Stenhousemuir lies directly east of Larbert, and both settlements sharing some public amenities with Carron/Carronshore.
Larbert's train station is a key interchange, with easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh along the Dunblane and Croy lines. Junction 2 of the M876 connects with the M80 to Glasgow and the M9 into Edinburgh. There are currently three primary schools in Larbert, while secondary pupils attend Larbert High in Stenhousemuir.
