Named after the Gaelic word for a tree, Crieff is a market town in Perth and Kinross with a population of around 6,800. It lies on the A85 between Perth and Crianlarich, and also bisects the A822 between Greenloaning and Aberfeldy.
In recent years, Crieff has developed into a tourism hub, trading mainly on its whisky and cattle droving history. Popular visitor attractions include the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre and Glenturret Distillery. Morrison's Academy is an independent co-educational school in Crieff.
