Haddington, the county town of the traditional Scottish county of East Lothian, is located within a bend of the River Tyne seventeen miles east of Edinburgh. At one time, Haddington was the fourth-biggest town in Scotland after Aberdeen, Roxburgh and Edinburgh. It's also home to East Lothian Council's HQ.
Haddington sits on the A1 dual-carriageway linking Edinburgh with London, and it’s currently served by several bus companies that travel to Edinburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed and other East Lothian towns and villages. Besides retail and administration, Haddington is home to various lawyers' firms and industrial units.
