Erskine is a Renfrewshire town on the southern bank of the River Clyde. Its eponymous bridge sweeps across the river towards Old Kilpatrick in West Dunbartonshire. Erskine is a commuter town at the western edge of the Greater Glasgow conurbation, bordering Bishopton to the north and Inchinnan to the south.
Buses operate between Erskine and Glasgow, Paisley, Renfrew and Glasgow Airport, which is located three miles south of here. Erskine has five state primary schools and two high schools, while Park Mains High is the largest school in Renfrewshire and one of the biggest in Scotland with over 1,400 students.
