The Renfrewshire village of Kilbarchan is one of the region's most picturesque and historic places. It lies next to the A737 that runs from Irvine towards the M8, heading east to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Milliken Park in Johnstone has a train station, and Glasgow Airport is only a few minutes from Kilbarchan by car.
Kilbarchan is both a lively modern community and a heritage treasure, with a large part of the village designated as an area of outstanding conservation. Kilbarchan was well known for its weaving industry in the past, and the charming period cottages and villas of High and Low Barholm are especially sought-after.
