Property in Luncarty

Luncarty is a village in Perth and Kinross, approximately four miles north of the region's capital and main population centre. Nestled on the western bank of the River Tay, the Battle of Luncarty took place just south of the present village in 990AD.

In its modern form, Luncarty was founded in 1752 by William Sandeman to house workers at the bleachfields that supported a thriving local economy in linen bleaching. The village formerly hosted a railway station, and the Perth to Inverness railway line still runs through Luncarty beside the A9 Inverness road.
