Spean Bridge is a quiet Highlands town that enjoys the solitude of the Great Glen. It also benefits from the tourist industry, in terms of both its local economy and its excellent transport infrastructure. Spean Bridge station welcomes trains from as far afield as London, whilst the A82 extends from Inverness to Fort William.
Spean Bridge offers views to Ben Nevis and Aonach More, while Leannachan Forest is a key destination for cyclists and walkers. The town has a golf course as well as many hotels and B&Bs. Spean Bridge Primary offers education to young residents while older children are educated at Lochaber High School in Fort William, ten miles away.
