St Andrews is a former Royal Burgh on the east coast of Fife, named after Saint Andrew the Apostle. St Andrews has a population of 16,680, making it the fifth-largest settlement in Fife. St Andrews is also home to three primary schools, a secondary school and a private school. The A91 and A92 give access to Perth, Dundee and Dunfermline, and the A915 leads to Glenrothes. The nearest railway station is at Leuchars, approximately five miles away.
