Property in Stranraer

Stranraer is a strategically important town in the south of Scotland, in western Dumfries and Galloway. Stranraer wraps around three sides of Loch Ryan, on the northern side of the isthmus joining the Rhins of Galloway to the mainland.

Stranraer is an administrative centre for the Wigtownshire area of Dumfries and Galloway. It is best known for the nearby Cairnryan ferry port connecting Scotland with Belfast and Larne in Northern Ireland. Local amenities include a community hospital, supermarkets, a museum and a train station with direct services to Kilmarnock.
