The Isle of Tiree is the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides. It is relatively small and measures about twelve miles long and three miles wide, with a population of roughly 800.
CalMac operate a ferry to Scarinish on Tiree, while Tiree Airport is located at Crossapol. Flybe provide daily flights to Glasgow International, and Hebridean Air Services fly to Coll and Oban. Roads on Tiree, in common with many other small islands, are nearly all single-track lanes.
